FIABCI logoLeaders from various real estate organizations and panelists from several public and private sectors who are actively working on affordable housing issues will convene in Seattle on November 14 for summit devoted to affordable housing.

The event, which is open to the public, is presented by FIABCI-Seattle (International Real Estate Federation).  Tickets, priced at $10 for non-members, are available at Eventbrite.

“We’re bringing together organizations and public figures – including Washington State legislators – that are actively working on the affordable housing issue in our region,” said Troy Thiel, co-chair of the Community for Affordable Housing (CFAH) and a broker at Windermere Yarrow Bay in Kirkland. “There’s strength in numbers and, collectively, we’re more likely to find solutions that will bring about meaningful and long-lasting change. We want this to truly be a “summit” of all these organizations — an event with the potential to be remembered as the tipping point for moving forward together with actionable solutions,” he added.

Opening remarks will be made by Walid Moussa, FIABCI World president and Kellee Buhler, FIABCI USA president. Moussa is founding president of FIABCI Arabic Countries and president of the Real Estate Syndicate of Lebanon (REAL). Buhler, a broker with Compass in New York and global real estate advisor, will discuss UN-Habitat’s World Urban Campaign.
